Our history
The Coalition for Texas families came into existence when Jack Barcroft was introduced to victim of Reunification Therapy in Texas. Inspired by witnessing the challenges families face in the Texas family court system our effective team came together in order to pass meaningful legislative known as the Safe Haven Act to abolish reunification therapy in Texas. Our legislation was passed unanimously in both chambers and signed by the Governor on June 22, 2025.
Our mission
The Coalition for Texas Families is dedicated to protecting the rights of parents and children in Texas family courts. We advocate for transparent, accountable, and constitutionally sound judicial practices that prioritize the well-being of children and uphold fundamental rights. Through legislative action, public education, and strategic partnerships, we work to ensure that Texas families are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.
